This guide covers how to check the engine oil level, change the engine oil and filter, and add engine oil, along with safety considerations and recommended suppliers.

Checking the Engine Oil Level

Regularly checking the engine oil level helps to prevent unnecessary wear and tear on your engine. It’s important to perform this check when the engine is at operating temperature.

Steps to Check Engine Oil Level

  1. Prepare the Motorcycle:

    • Stand the motorcycle upright on a horizontal surface to ensure an accurate reading.
  2. Check the Engine Oil Level:

    • Wait one minute after switching off the engine before checking the oil level.

    • The engine oil should be between the "A" and "B" markings .

    • If the oil level is below the "A" marking: Add engine oil to bring it to the correct level.

    • If the oil level is above the "B" marking: Correct the oil level by draining the excess oil.

Changing the Engine Oil and Oil Filter

Changing the engine oil and oil filter at recommended intervals is crucial for maintaining your engine’s health. Additionally, cleaning the oil screens during the oil change ensures optimal engine performance.
